Why am I running for Congress?

I do not seek power, fortune, or fame. My reason for running for Congress is that I do not feel like the citizens of the 1st Congressional District are being represented on the critical issues of our day. Washington D.C. is broken because they cannot get past partisan politics. We need leaders with the courage and ability to face the difficult issues like jump starting our economy with sound economic policy, finding and implementing real solutions for our gas and energy crisis, providing affordable health care to everyone, rebuilding America's crumbling infrastructure, sorting out the War in Iraq, and funding Social Security. I believe I am that leader, and I ask for your vote this November.
