Why am I running for Congress?
I do not seek power, fortune, or fame. My reason for running for Congress is that I do not feel like the citizens of the 1st Congressional District are being represented on the critical issues of our day. Washington D.C. is broken because they cannot get past partisan politics. We need leaders with the courage and ability to face the difficult issues like funding Social Security, providing affordable health care to everyone, sorting out the War in Iraq, and jump starting our economy with sound economic policy. I believe I am that leader, and I ask for your vote this November.
