I am committed to increasing the achievement of our school systems, adhering to conservative fiscal policy and the elimination of deficit spending, developing and maintaining a strong foreign policy that will increase our standing in the international community, creating true environmental policies that are holistic and achieveable, and I am committed to our nation's ever-important duty of maintaining secure borders and a secure homeland.

The best solutions for the many important issues facing the 1st Congressional District, our State and our Nation are those that are reached outside of the bitter partisan battles so common to the political landscape today.  When you send me to Washington D.C. in November of 2008 you will not be sending someone who puts divisive partisan politics over common sense solutions...you will be sending a candidate with a fresh vision for change and a proven record of accomplishments.

I am proud of my record as an elected official and I am proud of the career I have had in international business: working around the globe in over 125 countries, living on 4 continents, and speaking 3 languages fluently.  I am an independent thinker working to find realistic and workable common sense solutions in our government.

The people, communities and geography covered by this district are wonderfully diverse and require Congressional leadership that is working for the best interests of the entire district.  I am the leader that will represent the citizens of the 1st District in Washington D.C., bringing your voice and your issues to the table and effecting the change that you have asked for.
